Juban kimono- a traditional shorter length kimono, made to wear closer to the skin, under the longer kimono. A perfect length and use for modern day.
Juban is usually brightly colored and made of silk or cotton (the colors are meant for good luck and to ward off evil spirits) the collar is often cotton and may have many layers of fabric that have been sewn over the collar throughout the years

THIS particular silk Nagajuban is made from soft and thin silk crepe. It has a printed shibori pattern in the silk. It has a white silk crepe collar with Lamé silver and gold floral embroidery and thin cream silk lining.
