Juban kimono- a traditional shorter length kimono, made to wear closer to the skin, under the longer kimono. A perfect length and use for modern day.
Juban is usually brightly colored and made of silk or cotton (the colors are meant for good luck and to ward off evil spirits) the collar is often cotton and may have many layers of fabric that have been sewn over the collar throughout the years

THIS particular Nagajuban is made from cotton. It has a printed shibori pattern in a floral or snowflake design. It has a floral silk crepe collar over cotton muslin and thin red cotton lining.
